Rev. DarylIn every era, God raises up a new generation of leaders to guide the Church and care for the people. We are abundantly blessed in Massachusetts with many faithful leaders.

With great joy in God’s provision, the Massachusetts Council of Churches is thrilled to call The Rev. Daryl Lobban as the first Director of External Relationships.

“Rev. Lobban loves Church, and loves the breadth of God’s people. I am thrilled Daryl has chosen to bring his demonstrated skills and talents to the Massachusetts Council of Churches. We need just his gregarious, joyful energy to reach out to the widest parts of the Church in Massachusetts,” says Rev. Laura Everett, Executive Director.

After an extensive search of enormously talented candidates from across the country, we are overjoyed that Rev. Lobban has agreed to join the newly reorganized staff of the Massachusetts Council of Churches in June. Rev. Laura Everett will continue as Executive Director. Rev. Meagan Manas will serve as the first Director of Internal Relationships, an affirmation of our strong emphasis on organizational clarity and administrative excellence on behalf of the whole Church.

“We are building a dynamic team to address the challenges and embrace the opportunities of this era of Christian unity in Massachusetts,” says Rev. Meagan Manas, Director of Internal Relationships.

Rev. Lobban is a fourth-generation Holiness-Pentecostal pastor, ordained by the Church of God of Prophecy in his hometown of New York City. For the past four years, Rev. Lobban has served as the Youth, Children and Family Pastor at Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Boston. He has led and coordinated many ecumenical events around mental health and sexual violence in the Church. In his application, Rev. Lobban wrote of his ability to “build healthy relationships beyond racial and denominational lines, and really make the reconciling work of Christ visible in my network.”
