Director of Children, Youth & Family Ministries

Saint Matthew's United Methodist Church in Acton, MA announces a job opening for a visionary Director of Children, Youth and Family (CYF) Ministries. As a Reconciling Congregation, we welcome and support all people in their faith journey, regardless of age, physical condition, race, gender, sexual orientation, or class.

Job Type: Part-time position (20 hours/week; 46 weeks/year; dates to be mutually determined).

Salary: $22,500 to $25,500/year dependent on education and experience, with 2 weeks paid vacation.
Preferred Start Date: March 2020.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Children/Youth Ministry, Religion or Education, or equivalent training and experience; three+ years experience in children, youth, or family ministry; excellent administrative and organizational skills; interpersonal, communication, and teaching skills; experience in a church environment; an active and growing relationship with God and a desire to serve others in Christian love.

Responsibilities

To encourage and equip children, youth and families in their walk of faith, the Director of Children, Youth and Family Ministries partners with parents, staff, and volunteers to plan discipleship growth opportunities that connect us with one another and with our loving God.
