Description

SOCIAL JUSTICE FELLOWSHIPS STARTING IN AUGUST 2018

The world needs you – your heartbreak, your hope, your action - now more than ever.

Life Together is a ten-month fellowship and leadership development project that matches young leaders (21-32 years of age) with mission-based non-profit organizations and churches throughout Eastern Massachusetts, and then trains these fellows through spiritual practice, shared leadership models, and community organizing tools.

During their year with Life Together, fellows work for social justice, grow as leaders, and live in community with other fellows. Fellows will serve from August 2018 until June 2019. Life Together is a strategic initiative of The Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts and an affiliate program of the Episcopal Service Corps.

About the fellows

Life Together fellows will be selected from a pool of over 300 applicants who range in age from 21 to 32, and come from a diverse range of racial, economic, geographic, and religious backgrounds. Each fellow has demonstrated a deep commitment to working for social justice and a commitment to spiritual growth. They are willing to work in challenging settings, committed to positive community change, and emotionally mature.

This is a full-time PAID position as a fellow. Each fellow serves 32 hours a week in his or her own site placement and spends 8 hours a week in leadership training, spiritual practice and reflection with the other fellows in the program. Fellows also live in community, sharing regular meals and time for spiritual practice together.

Compensation includes a living stipend with full benefits--including health insurance, housing, a transportation pass, and extensive leadership training throughout the program year.
