AN ECUMENICAL RECEPTION
Church leaders from across the Commonwealth gathered
on Tuesday, June 7th, for a reception to greet the Presiding
Bishop of the Episcopal Church, the Most Rev. Dr. Katharine Jefferts
Schori. The reception hosted by Bishop Thomas
Shaw, SSJE of the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts on the occasion of
the Annual Meeting of Episcopal City Mission where Bishop Jefferts
Schori was delivering the keynote address brought together
denominational heads of Churches to share the ecumenical work of their
communions.

the work of the Council. We have worked not only with the Diocesan
leadership but also have partnered in ministry with
Episcopal City Mission.
Episcopal City Mission works for social
and economic justice in
Massachusetts, with particular emphasis on the urban poor.
